China launches unilateral visa-free policy for Spain and other 5 countries on a trial basis
In order to facilitate cross-border communication, China has decided to expand the pilot scope of unilateral visa-free countries, and as a result, China’s visa policy will soon undergo significant changes.
Starting from December 1, 2023, individuals with an ordinary passport from Spain can enter China visa-free for up to 15 days for business, tourism, transit, and visits to family and friends. This policy will be in effect until November 30, 2024. Furthermore, the aforementioned policy will also benefit the ordinary passport holders from France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, and Malaysia.
Previously, China only offered a 72/144-hour transit visa-free policy at limited airports and ports for the above countries (excluding Malaysia).
The detailed procedures for its implementation will depend on further explanation and practice, we will keep following this policy as it comes to the ground.
