Roberto Delgado is a partner in Garrigues’ Corporate/Commercial Law Department, where he forms part of the Corporate team. He specializes in corporate law, in domestic and international business and corporate restructuring and reorganization transactions and in professional services firms. He provides recurring advice to clients in the family business sector. He has a degree in law and an Associate’s Degree in Economics and European Studies from Universidad de Deusto.
Prior to joining Garrigues, he worked for Arthur Andersen, acquiring expertise in accounting and tax law.
He is actively involved in teaching and as a speaker at a range of forums. He is a regular speaker on the Master’s Degree for Access to the Legal Profession at Universidad Carlos III and has been an associate lecturer at Centro de Estudios Garrigues, where he was responsible for the commercial contract module on the Master’s Degree for Access to the Legal Profession. He is also an active contributor to other forums and teaching institutions related to corporate/commercial law.

He has been a partner in Garrigues’ Corporate and Commercial Law Department since September 2005.
As a member of Garrigues’ Corporate/Commercial Department, he has taken part in investment and divestment processes at Spanish and foreign companies and is familiar with the milestones typical of such transactions (due diligence, investment contracts, shareholders’ agreements, etc.).
Due to the particular features of the deals to which he has contributed, he has specialized (as acknowledged by the legal market) in commercial contracts. He has played a particularly key role in the family business industry, providing services specific to board secretaries in this type of financial deal, advising on specific agreements in these industries.
Prior to joining Garrigues, he worked for Arthur Andersen, acquiring expertise in accounting and tax law.
He is fluent in Spanish and English.
