Francisco Soler, Garrigues’ new partner in charge in the Valencia Community and Murcia
He takes the reins from José Luis Martínez Navarrete, who held the post since 2007
Garrigues has named Francisco Soler as the new partner in charge in the Valencia Community and Murcia. He replaces José Luis Martínez Navarrete, who headed the firm in that region since 2007
Francisco Soler joined the firm in 1996. In 2005, he established the Garrigues office in Shanghai, where he served as partner in charge until 2011. Since then, he has been a partner in the Corporate and Commercial Law Department in Valencia and was named head of the department in 2015. He is a specialist in M&A transactions, foreign investment, corporate law and commercial contracts. He has a degree in Law, Economics and Business Studies from Universidad de Valencia, a degree in Political Science from UNED and a Master’s Degree in European Union from Sorbonne Université. He is currently a lecturer at the Universidad Católica de Valencia School of Law.
José Luis Martínez Navarrete holds a degree in Economics from Universidad de Valencia and a Master’s Degree in Taxation from ADEIT. Since joining Garrigues in 1984, he has pursued his professional career in the Tax Department at the Valencia office. In 1994, he was promoted to equity partner and, in 2007, to partner in charge of the region. Over the time he has spent as partner in charge, the firm has expanded rapidly and he has consolidated his leadership. José Luis Martínez Navarrete will continue to pursue his professional career in group reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions and family business, in which he is a well-known expert. He is also a member of the Register of Economist Auditors.
