Garrigues leads in mergers and acquisitions, in terms of value and number of transactions, for the first nine months of 2019

Garrigues leads the ranking of legal advisors on mergers and acquisitions (M&A), in terms of both number of transactions and their value, for the first nine months of 2019. The firm closed a total of 85 transactions in Spain amounting to an overall value of 11,178 million euros. These data place the firm in lead position according to the TTR report.
One of the traits that sets the firm apart is its ability to close both a large number of deals—due to its extensive coverage of the Spanish market—and deals with a high economic value: the caliber of its domestic clients (91.4% of companies listed on the Ibex 35 work with the firm) and its international clients have secured its participation in the most important transactions taking place.
In private equity and venture capital, the TTR ranking also places Garrigues first in terms of value of the transactions executed, which amounted to just over 8,000 million euros in the third quarter of this year.
