Garrigues recieves first prize as the best local legal adviser of the year in Latin America from the international publication ‘IJ Global’
Five projects advised by Garrigues teams in Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru were also winners
Garrigues recieves first prize as the best Latam Local Legal Adviser of the year by the publication specializing in project and infrastructure finance IJ Global, which acknowledges the work of legal advisers in large transactions every year in North and Latin America. Five projects advised by Garrigues in the transport and power sectors were also awarded prizes.
The publication took into account the overall work performed by Garrigues at its offices in Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru. First prize as the best Latam Local Legal Adviser is recognition of Garrigues’ regional capacity, with one of the highest direct presences in the region, its participation in major infrastructure projects and its experience in M&A and financial law.
The following are the five transactions advised by Garrigues that were awarded prizes as the best in Latin America in their respective categories: Cakua Offshore Gas Compression Station in oil and gas; re-financing of EnfraGen in the power category; the INTI re-financing project in renewables; the Alto Magdalena highway in the Transport M&A category; and the Lima airport in the Transport Airport category.
This recognition is in addition to the recent award received by Garrigues as the best law firm in the Andes in banking and financial law from the International Financial Law Review (IFLR), which selects the best transactions of the year in the Latin American continent, with a major cross-border and innovation component.
