The Global IP Awards name Garrigues Firm of the Year in Portugal
The specialized publications Intellectual Asset Management (IAM) and World Trademark Review (WTR) have recognized the Garrigues IP team in Portugal for the second time
Garrigues has picked up the IP Law Firm of the Year: Portugal award at the Global IP Awards, organized by the publications Intellectual Asset and World Trademark Review which are handed out to recognize the work of IP specialists in patents and trademarks in eighty jurisdictions. This is the second time that Garrigues has been named best Portuguese firm after winning the inaugural edition in 2019.
The Global IP Awards, which are based in the US, Europe and Asia, have recognized the work of the research team of journalists and annalists of both publications and the opinion of clients on the work performed by law firms in each of regions analyzed.
"Awards like this acknowledge the collective efforts of our group and, more specifically, our dedication to standing shoulder to shoulder with our clients, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to meeting their expectations and needs”, explained João Miranda de Sousa, the partner in charge of Garrigues Portugal, who just a few months ago received the Practitioner of the Year Award in Portugal from the prestigious IP publication Managing Intellectual Property. In those awards, Garrigues also picked up the Advisory & Disputes Firm of the Year award in Portugal.
In 2023, the IP Department of Garrigues Portugal has received three awards, strengthening the firm’s leadership in the area of IP.
