The Government of Mexico calls to bid for the procurement of drilling services for geothermal wells in Baja California, Michoacán and Jalisco
The deadline to submit offers for the five wells located on the two parcels is October 16.
Through the Financing and Risk Transfer Program for Geothermal Energy in Mexico, the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will allocate funds for this new tender after the first one was declared cancelled last July 2023 due to lack of bidders. The deadline for submitting bids is October 16, 2023.
The National Institute of Electricity and Clean Energy (INEEL) has recently published the terms and conditions of the international public tender for the procurement of drilling services for five geothermal wells located in two lots. The selected participant will be awarded with a service contract covering the execution of all activities of transport, installation and operation of the drilling rigs, their auxiliary equipment, as well as the test for evaluating production capacity.
The first lot is located at the Cerro Prieto geothermal area in the state of Baja California and comprises two wells.
The second lot contains two wells located in the geothermal area of Negritos, Michoacán and one well in the geothermal area of San Marcos, Jalisco.
