Spain: The CNMV analyzes ESG reporting by listed companies as required by the EU taxonomy

The Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) has published a report analyzing reporting by listed companies in relation to the European sustainability taxonomy: Report on breakdowns regarding European Taxonomy. 2022.
This is the first year in which non-financial issuers have had to provide information on activities aligned with environmental taxonomy and it is the first report of the CNMV on this subject. According to the statement by the CNMV, from the data broken down by the issuing companies, the document describes the degree of eligibility and alignment with the taxonomy on climate change of the economic activities of Spanish issuers of securities admitted to trading in EU regulated markets.
