He recurrently assists to Spanish and foreign companies, to MNE and to HWI and UHWI with sophisticated tax matters. He is able to provide a comprehensive and highly-developed advice on complex national and international tax matters, having an extensive experience in the provision of tax services to listed multinational groups, financial institutions and technology and innovative companies.
Over the course of his professional career, he has been involved in some highly complex and sophisticated Transfer Pricing projects, including:
- The first Bilateral Advance Pricing Agreement (BAPA) signed by Spain and the US.
- Advance Pricing Agreements with the Spanish Tax Agency in the context of the Patent Box regime.
- The design of refined Transfer Pricing policies in relation to operational and financing transactions, acting as lead manager in their implementation in over 30 different jurisdictions.
Alberto A. Rodríguez has been actively assisting to international collective investment funds in their structuring of investments in Spain, particularly in real estate assets. He has also a broad expertise in Due Diligence processes and M&A transactions with national and international tax components.
Alberto A. Rodríguez is also specialized in the implementation of Spanish tax reliefs related to R&D, elimination of situations of international double taxation and the application of Spanish special tax regimes (e.g. Consolidation tax regime, ETVE regime, special tax regime for mergers, spin-offs and other reorganization transactions, etc.).
