Antonio Fernández is a principal associate in Garrigue’s Tax Department, wo has an extensive experience in tax advice to companies, especially in the field of indirect taxation and real estate taxation. He has participated in the counseling during tax audit procedures and in economic-administrative and judicial procedures in the field of taxation and, with main character, in the area of indirect and real estate taxation.
Experience
Antonio Fernández Carrasco is a principal associate of the practice of Tax Law and Real Estate at the Málaga office, where he has developed his career since 2004.
He has a wide knowledge and experience in tax advice and, particularly, in indirect taxation and taxation of the real estate sector, forming part of the VAT and Real Estate teams of the office.
Given his experience, his is recurrently advising on transactions and matters that require specialization in VAT and indirect taxation, as well as on real estate transactions, being involved in a large number and relevant property operations in the geographical area in which he develops his career, and in investment operations of international groups in Spain.
Antonio also has experience in the field of tax advice in customs matters, having provided support in verification and application procedures for special customs regimes.
Academic background
Degree in Law, Universidad de Málaga.
A number of specialist courses on indirect taxation, including the Comprehensive Training in Customs Management course organized by TARIC.
Teaching activity
He is a professor of the VAT module in Fiscal Counseling Course of the School of Business Excellence of Málaga (Escuela EXCE) since 2009. He has also been a collaborative professor in the Business Fiscal Regime area at the University of Málaga and in the Executive Master of Fiscal Advisory for Businesses organized by the School of Business Studies. (ESESA). Antonio has a long career as a speaker in fiscal journals and seminars on indirect taxation.

Antonio Fernández Carrasco is a member of the Málaga College of Lawyers.
Publications
Antonio has had a number of articles published in Diario Sur (Málaga) and is co-author of "Conflictive aspects of the refund of the tax on retail sales of certain oil and gas products" (*) published in the journal Estrategia Financiera.
