Cándida Ferris is a partner of Litigation and Arbitration Department of Garrigues, where she practices in the areas of civil law, corporate law and, fundamentally, insolvency and pre-insolvency law. She has extensive experience in complex restructuring and refinancing processes, as well as in providing legal assistance in insolvency processes, both from the debtor’s perspective and advising creditors and third parties interested in acquiring assets, businesses and/or production units as part of such processes. She holds a Degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pablo de Olavide (Seville), and is a regular lecturer in forums specializing in insolvency matters, as well as on various Master’s Degree courses and training workshops.
Experience
Cándida Ferris has been a partner in the Litigation and Arbitration Department of Garrigues since 2023 and joined the firm in 2007. In addition to providing recurring advisory services on civil proceedings, corporate law, performance of agreements, the exercise of all rights of all kinds, etc.:
- She has acted, as lawyer for the debtors, in many of the largest insolvency processes in Andalusia, achieving agreed solutions in cases where the economic and operating circumstances so permitted, and the orderly liquidation of assets in other cases.
- She has defended the interests of creditors, directors and shareholders in insolvency processes, seeking to maximize their position in the first case, and has advised on the assessment section and the different sections relating to civil liability.
- She provides recurring advice on transactions for the acquisition of assets and operating production units in insolvency and pre-insolvency processes (pre-pack sales).
- She also routinely advises on global and financial restructuring transactions, having participated in the refinancing of some of the major companies and corporate groups in her area.

- Master’s Degree in Legal Counseling, Instituto de Ciencias del Derecho y la Empresa (ICIDE).
Teaching activity
She is a regular lecturer at forums, seminars, workshops and programs relating to her areas of expertise in relation to insolvency and pre-insolvency matters. In particular:
- She has been a permanent lecturer at the Aranzadi Insolvency Forum in Seville since 2017, alongside specialist senior judges.
- Permanent lecturer at Instituto de Estudios Cajasol since 2017, teaching on the Master’s Degree in Finance and the Master's Degree in Global Legal Counseling.
