Carlos Arroyo is a Senior Associate of the Criminal Law practice of Garrigues. He has pursued his career in the firm since 2013, in the Canary Islands' office (both in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria).
He has specialised expertise in the white-collar crime and corporate defense areas of Criminal Law, with extensive experience managing all sorts of criminal proceedings before the Courts; as the lead counsel, both in accusation and defense. Particularly, regarding crimes against the public treasury, corporate crime, crimes against worker safety, crimes against the natural resources and the environment, fraud, embezzlement, fraudulent administration, crimes against industrial and intellectual property rights and many others. Carlos has also advised companies and corporate directors on the design of criminal risk management systems (Compliance), with a view to avoiding or reducing the criminal liability of legal entities.
