David is a principal associate at Garrigues since 2023, forming part of the Administrative Law team in the Bogotá office. He has more than 10 years of experience in consulting and litigation about Competition Law, Consumer ProtectionLaw, Economic Regulation, Privacy Law, Law and Economics, Transportation Law, Energy Law and Telecommunications Law. In addition, he works as an undergraduate and graduate professor at the schools of Law and Economics of the Externado de Colombia University.
Experience
More than 10 years of experience advising and representing Colombian and international companies in (i) administrative investigations for violation of competition, consumer, privacy and metrology and technical regulations, (ii) merger control notifications; (iii) unfair competition processes; (iv) consumer protection actions; (v) public actions; (vi) commercial arbitrations; (vii) advisory services and administrative procedures regarding the regulation of transportation, energy, and telecommunications, among other activities related to economic law.
Academic background
LLB and Master of Laws (LLM) with an emphasis in Economic Law from the Externado de Colombia University. Master of Laws (LL.M.) with a specialization certificate in Business Law from the University of California - Berkeley.
