Diego Pérez is a principal associate in the Garrigues Tax Department, where he practices in the transfer pricing area. Diego Pérez is a principal associate in Garrigues’ Transfer Pricing practice area in Madrid, with 12 years’ experience in this field.
Associate principal since January 2021. He joined the firm in 2012.
Diego has broad experience in diagnostics, analysis, implementation and documentation of transfer pricing for multinational groups, as well as providing advisory services in tax inspections of related-party transactions, advance pricing agreements with the Spanish tax authorities and mutual agreement procedures to resolve situations of double taxation. In addition, Diego has participated in projects in the transfer pricing area for clients operating in a wide range of sectors, such as energy, life sciences and healthcare, insurance, fashion, real estate, technology & outsourcing, automotive, among others.
He is fluent in Spanish and English.
He participates as a volunteer in mentoring programs for university students who are starting their professional careers, organized by ICAI-ICADE for its students, or by Fundación Mutualidad de la Abogacía.
Academic background
Diego has a Degree in Law and Business Administration (E-3) from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas ICAI-ICADE.
He also has a Master’s Degree in Business Taxation from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas ICAI-ICADE.

He has contributed as author to the chapter on Spain in all the editions of the “Global Guide to Transfer Pricing” published since 2015 by the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation (IBFD).
Diego has had numerous academic and informational articles published in specialist media, both national and international, including most notably Estrategia Financiera (Wolters Kluwer), Legal Today and BNA Bloomberg.
