Dounia Semlali joined the Casablanca office in 2015 where she specializes in tax law and exchange control regulation. She holds a bachelor degree in finance from the Institut Supérieur de Commerce et d’Administration des Entreprises (ISCAE) in Casablanca and she is trained as a chartered accountant in Morocco.

She totals twenty years of professional experience as a tax advisor in many international firms such as Ernst & Young. Between 2010 and 2012 she was also country finance director of the Publicis Group, which has three subsidiaries in Morocco.

As a tax advisor she has served multinational and local clients on domestic and international tax, transfer pricing, human capital matters and tax litigation. She has also a broad experience in foreign exchange compliance, planning and litigation.

She holds a bachelor degree in finance from the Institut Supérieur de Commerce et d’Administration des Entreprises (ISCAE) in Casablanca (2003) and she is trained as a chartered accountant in Morocco (2007).

She holds the specialization certificates in IFRS and US GAAP from the INTEC institute in Paris (2004).

She is a frequent speaker at the Hassan II University and in the business law training program held by the International Chamber of Commerce in Morocco (ICC Morocco).

She is designated amongst "Rising Stars" in tax, in all editions of Legal500 since 2016.
