Francisco Soto Balirac is a partner of the Tax Law practice, having joined the firm at its Vigo office in 2003.
He has extensive experience in companies tax advice, both large companies (including listed companies) and SMEs, as well as personal assets, direct and indirect taxes, family businesses and capital restructuring.
He is part of the "Sports & Entertainment", "VAT" and "Family Business" areas of the firm.
He is a regular speaker at tax seminars and conferences. He also teaches at the "Master in Taxation" of the College of Economists of A Coruña and at the "Master in Controller and Financial Management" of the IFFE Business School in A Coruña, as well as at various Tax Masters at the University of Vigo.

Since 2003, he has advised all types of companies in the tax field, both large companies (including companies listed on the Spanish organised stock market) and SMEs, as well as personal assets, direct and indirect taxes. He stands out at the organization and restructuring of family businesses and the impact on Wealth and Inheritance and Donation taxes.
He is part of the "Sports & Entertainment" (advising professional football players and sports federations), "VAT" and "Family Business" areas of the firm.
He is a regular speaker at tax seminars and conferences carried out by the Chambers of Commerce of Pontevedra, Vigo and Vilagarcía de Arousa, by the Confederations of Entrepreneurs of Vigo, Ourense and Pontevedra, by the Circle of Entrepreneurs of Galicia, by the Galician Association of Business Agents, and by the Galician Football Federation, as well as by numerous business associations.
Academic background
Graduated in Law, economic-business branch, at the University of Vigo.
Teaching activity
He has been professor at the Business Administration and Management Degree (ADE) at Afundación Business School (University of Vigo).
He currently teaches at:
- The “Master in Taxation" of the College of Economists of A Coruña
- The "Master in Controller and Financial Management" of the IFFE Business School in A Coruña
- Various Tax Masters at the University of Vigo.
