Jaime Escrivá is counsel in the Tax Department of Garrigues, a firm he joined in 1997 and where he has spent his entire professional career.
He regularly provides tax advice to family businesses, including representing them before the tax authorities.
He has extensive experience in providing tax advice to companies in the tourism and healthcare sectors, and has also participated in numerous transactions involving the purchase and sale of companies in these and other sectors.
He holds a degree in Economics and Business Studies from the University of Alicante and is an Expert in Taxation from the Business School of the aforementioned University of Alicante.

Experience
Jaime Escrivá has spent his entire professional career at the firm, which he joined in 1997. He is currently counsel in the Tax Law practice and belongs to the Tourism and Hospitality industry group.
He regularly provides tax advice to family businesses in all areas of tax law. As a result of this contact with family businesses, he has been involved in the succession planning of various business families, asset divisions and separations of partners. He also frequently represents his clients before the tax authorities.
Jaime has extensive experience in providing tax advice to groups in the tourism sector, having participated in expansion processes through the acquisition of new establishments, including due diligence processes, in the corporate reorganisation of groups in this and other sectors, and also in the refinancing of companies in crisis.
He also advises companies in the healthcare sector on a recurring basis, having acquired a significant degree of specialisation in the taxation applicable to this sector throughout his career.

Expert in Taxation at the Business School of the University of Alicante (1997).
Teaching activity
Jaime has been a lecturer in the Master of Taxation at the Business School of the University of Alicante in several academic years, teaching the subject of International Taxation.
He is also a regular speaker at numerous conferences organised by business organisations such as the Costa Blanca Tourist Board (HOSBEC), Chambers of Commerce and Professional Associations.
