Javier Guinot is a partner in the Tax Department.
His professional activity is developed both in terms of recurrent tax advice, as well as in more specific processes, such as M&A and corporate restructuring transactions. He also regularly advises on personal taxation matters in the Human Capital Services speciality (HCS) and in the Sports&Entertainment industry.
In addition, he has extensive experience in providing recurring tax advice in tax audits and investigations, as well as in economic-administrative and contentious-administrative procedures.
He is a professor on the Master's Degree in Law organised by the University of Valencia and collaborates regularly in seminars promoted by Garrigues and specialised centres (CEF, COEV, etc.).
Experience
Javier Guinot joined the firm in 2008 and is a partner in the Tax Department.
He has extensive experience in providing tax advice to national and international groups as well as to family businesses in different manufacturing sectors. His professional activity is developed both at the level of tax advice in the day-to-day activity of companies and in more specific processes that may affect this type of entities, such as business reorganisation transactions, M&A, and due diligence processes.
In the area of personal taxation, he is a member of Garrigues' HCS line of specialization, where he treasures specific experience (implementation of remuneration systems, particularities in international mobility, etc.).
He has also been involved in defending the interests of clients, both individuals and companies, in tax audits and investigations carried out by national, regional and local tax authorities before the courts.
