Javier specialises in commercial and corporate law, mainly in investments and divestments, company and asset acquisitions, creation and dissolution of joint ventures, strategic alliances, corporate restructurings and corporate and commercial practice. Throughout his professional career, he has advised national and international clients of different types on M&A transactions in various sectors.

Javier brings a commercial and practical approach to negotiations, seeking pragmatic and creative solutions to complex issues. He provides strategic guidance to support decisions in any aspect of the M&A process from a legal point of view. He is used to leading in-house teams and coordinating groups of advisors in this type of transactions.

Javier is involved in the whole process of an M&A transaction:

• Legal design of the M&A transaction.
  
• Due diligence.
• Sale and purchase agreements, shareholders' agreements and joint-venture agreements.
• Financing of the operation.
• Advice to partners, directors and managers.

Javier has collaborated with various technology centres and has participated in transactions with technology-based companies and start-ups from their initial phase to their consolidation.

He also has extensive experience in corporate law, having participated in numerous corporate reorganisations and serving as secretary of the board of numerous companies, contributing his legal knowledge from a business-focused approach. In this field, he stands out for his participation in numerous corporate conflicts with a practical vision focused on their resolution.

Javier also gives ongoing and recurrent commercial and corporate advice to different types of clients in their ordinary business activity. 

Throughout his career, Javier has also specialised in Real Estate Law and has participated in a wide range of transactions:

• Development, purchase and sale of shopping centres.
• Sale and lease of logistics centres.
• Sale of commercial and residential real estate portfolios (including social housing).
• Leasing of commercial premises for the main operators in the retail sector.
• Sale & leaseback transactions.

Finally, Javier has supported various non-profit organisations in the areas in which he specialises.
