Katarzyna has been a lawyer at Garrigues since 2018 and is a senior associate at the Warsaw office. She heads the energy practice and is a member of the public procurement and infrastructure practice.
She has advised clients in the infrastructure and defence and space sectors on public tender procedures, representing them in dealings with various public contracting authorities.
She has a broad background in infrastructure projects, particularly regarding the construction and modernization of the Polish railway system, and in-depth knowledge and experience in the practical implementation of military projects, including deliveries of military equipment. Before joining the firm, she worked for many years with international companies entering the Polish market in those sectors, assisting them in over one hundred proceedings.
She has advised numerous clients in the energy sector and participated in highly complex processes including greenfield investment, renewable energy projects (photovoltaic, wind farms) and business acquisitions.
She speaks Polish, Italian and English.
Experience
Katarzyna has a strong background in public procurement, particularly in the areas of infrastructure and defence. She has participated in numerous proceedings advising both Polish and foreign companies on processes for the award of public contracts. She guides clients through all stages of public contracts as well as the handling of potential disputes.
Additionally, she specializes in energy law, focusing on renewable energy investment processes and regulatory issues in the area of energy and fuel trading and distribution.
She participates in greenfield investment deals and comprehensive due diligence processes related to such investments.
She represents clients in negotiations with public entities (Polish State Railways (PKP), the Directorate-General of National Roads and Motorways (GDDKiA), the Armament Agency of the Polish Ministry of Defence (Agencja Uzbrojenia), the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency (PANSA), port authorities, etc.) and in proceedings before the Polish National Appeals Chamber (NAC) and the ordinary courts.
She speaks Polish, Italian and English.
