Manuel Rodríguez de Bethencourt Codes is Of Counsel in the Corporate/Commercial Department at Garrigues, where he has pursued his professional career since 2015. Manuel Rodríguez de Bethencourt Codes is Of Counsel at Garrigues following his time, over the course of his long professional career, at Prosegur Compañía de Seguridad S.A. (1989-1991); Ramon y Cajal Abogados (1991-2005) and DAC Beachcroft LLP (2005-2014), in the case of the last two, as partner. He specializes in corporate and commercial law, in particular in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate law, financial and regulatory law relating to securities markets.
Among other fields, he is an expert in matters relating to M&A deals (advising both industrial clients and private equity funds); business reorganization transactions (mergers, spin-offs, etc.), at both the domestic and international levels; advice on the planning for and implementation of investment structures; shareholders’ agreements and other association documents; commercial contracts and corporate law advice in general.
In addition, he provides ongoing advice on financial regulatory matters to investment services firms, private equity firm managers, collective investment undertakings, as well as to the regulated entities managed by them.
He has engaged in teaching collaborations with Universidad Carlos III de Madrid as an external Practicum tutor; with Centro Universitario Villanueva de Madrid as a lecturer in the Master’s Degree for Access to the Legal Profession. He has also been a speaker in numerous seminars, as well as in conferences at public and private institutions.
