
Mauricio has experience in seeking legal remedies at federal and local level in administrative and constitutional matters against the decisions or actions of all types of authorities (administrative, legislative and judicial), including the handling of administrative compliance verification and penalty proceedings. His work as a litigator has been notable across a range of sectors and industries, such as electricity, oil and gas, anti-money laundering, financial, labor and social security, environmental, antitrust, public procurement, administrative liability, among others.
Experience
Mauricio León is a principal associate in the Administrative and Constitutional Law and Energy practices. He has more than 15 years’ experience in advising Mexican and multinational companies in their dealings with federal, state and municipal authorities from the executive, legislative and judicial branches of government in order to prevent and avoid disputes, as well as in designing and implementing litigation strategies to challenge decisions and judgments issued.
He has extensive experience in administrative compliance verification and penalty proceedings, administrative appeals, judicial review proceedings at local and federal level, and all types of constitutional protection (amparo) proceedings in the following areas: i) electricity, ii) oil and gas, iii) financial, iv) anti-money laundering, v) labor and social security, vi) environmental, vii) public procurement, viii) administrative liability, ix) urban development, x) water, xii) antitrust, xiii) health law, xiv) standardization, xv) licenses, permits and concessions, xvi) transport, xvii) mining, xviii) foreign trade and customs law, xix) data protection and data access, among others.
