Experience
Patricia Balbuena joined Garrigues in 2009 and is currently Principal Associate of the Litigation and Arbitration Department.
Her professional experience is focused on the area of private law and her experience in litigation is at all instances (courts and arbitration), both in civil law matters (obligations and contracts, noncontractual liability, damages claims, among others), and corporate/commercial law matters (unfair competition, trademarks law, proceedings to contest corporate resolutions, liability of directors, etc.).
An insolvency law specialist, since the beginning of her professional career she has acted as legal counsel in numerous insolvency proceedings (delegated assistant of insolvency managers, representation of creditors and insolvent companies).
Patricia provides advice to financial entities on banking law on a recurring basis and also has extensive experience in real estate law and construction, as well as in debt recovery actions.
She is a member of the Seville Bar Association.
Academic background
Degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Pablo de Olavide (2003-2009).
Legal studies and business administration at North Central College (Chicago) and Université Pierre Mendes France (Grenoble).
Executive Master’s Degree in Business Law taught by Centro de Estudios Garrigues and Harvard Law School (2010 academic year).
She is currently studying an LL.M. in International Transactions taught by Universidad Antonio de Nebrija, Fordham Law School and Centro de Estudios Garrigues.
