Pedro García Jarrín is counsel in the tax practice at the firm’s Valladolid office.
He has extensive experience in advising businesses, both family businesses and multinational companies with a presence in Spain. In this field, he provides recurring advice on the particular questions that arise from the issue of reconciling business and family interests, as well as on the optimization of both views in the medium and long terms.
He has a wealth of experience in managing judicial review proceedings relating to tax issues and in representing taxpayers in multiple inspection proceedings, giving him deep knowledge in this field. He leads the tax litigation group at the firm’s Valladolid office.
Lecturer in the Law and Economics Department at Universidad Isabel I de Castilla, as well as a regular speaker in numerous seminars specializing in tax news.

Experience
Pedro García Jarrín joined Garrigues in 2002 and has been counsel in the tax practice since 2018.
He has extensive experience in the management of tax procedures at both the economic-administrative and judicial-review levels, and in representing taxpayers in inspection proceedings, an area in which he has built up considerable knowledge. He currently leads the Tax Procedure Group at Garrigues' Valladolid Office.
In addition, he provides tax advice on an ongoing basis to international companies located in Spain, as well as to family businesses, assisting in internal restructuring processes taking place within them, with a medium- and long-term view that allows them to reconcile the family’s asset and business interests.
Furthermore, his extensive experience in providing ongoing advice to clients has enabled him to identify the keys to optimizing these advisory services in such sectors as real estate, agri-food, cooperatives and concessions.
