Raquel López Valero is a counsel in the Tax Department of Garrigues, where she has pursued her professional career since 2007. She specializes in M&A transactions and internal restructuring processes, as well as real estate tax, family business and accounting standards.
Raquel is a member of the Accounting Law line of specialization.
She provides ongoing tax advisory services to national and international business groups, as well as tax advice in relation to business restructuring processes and tax inspections.
She has a Degree in Business Administration from Universidad Politécnica de Valencia.

Raquel López Valero is a counsel in the Tax Department of Garrigues, a firm which she joined in 2007, forming part of the Accounting Law and Real Estate Tax areas of specialization.
She regularly provides tax advice to business groups and family businesses from different production industries.
Raquel provides her professional expertise both at the level of tax advisory services for companies’ habitual business activities, and in more specific processes that may affect this type of entities, such as business reorganization processes., M&A and due diligence reviews.
She also has extensive experience in the area of personal taxation.

- Professional specialization qualification in Accounting and Finance from Universidad Politécnica de Valencia
- Executive Master’s Degree in Business Law from Centro de Estudios Garrigues in collaboration with Harvard Law School.
- Master’s Degree in Taxation and Tax Counseling from Centro de Estudios Financieros (CEF).
Teaching activity
She is a regular speaker at seminars and conferences organized by the firm and by specialist centers (Economists’ Association, Centro de Estudios Financieros etc.), and provides training sessions on new developments in tax and accounting law, among other matters.
Raquel is a part-time professor in the Business Administration Department of Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, where she teaches several financial and cost accounting courses

She collaborates with different media outlets in the publication of articles on current tax issues.
