
Rodrigo Riquelme is a partner in the Public Law practice of Garrigues' Chile office. With 20 years of experience, he has a recognized practice in construction and infrastructure matters, with a special focus on disputes, covering both public and private law. Specialist in arbitration and litigation related to concessions, construction and infrastructure, participating in proceedings before the CAM Santiago, ICC, as well as in special instances such as the Concessions Technical Panel, the Constitutional Court and the Arbitration Commissions of the Public Works Concessions Law, among others.
Experience
Throughout his career, Rodrigo Riquelme has worked in the resolution of highly complex disputes, representing clients in disputes in the infrastructure, concessions and construction sectors. He has advised national and international companies in the management of contractual risks, project execution and defense of their interests in large-scale judicial and arbitration proceedings. He has advised companies and groups in international bids for public and private projects.
Previously he was partner of Reymond & Fleischmann, then of Chadwick & Reymond. In 2021 he founded the boutique Riquelme, Silva & Fuentes.
Since 2024, he has been a member of CAM Santiago's list of arbitrators, standing out for his knowledge of the sector and his ability to resolve conflicts in infrastructure and construction projects.
Academic background
Rodrigo Riquelme is a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where he also obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Public Law. He complemented his education with postgraduate studies in Administrative Law at the University of Salamanca and a Diploma in Administrative Contracting at the Universidad de Los Andes.
Teaching activity
He is currently a professor at several universities and postgraduate programs in Chile, teaching courses on construction law, concessions and public procurement at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, Universidad de los Andes, Universidad Católica de Valparaíso and Universidad del Desarrollo.
