Sofia Vilas-Boas is a senior associate in the EU and Competition Law practice area where she works mainly in the areas of competition law, consumer and advertising law and contract law. Graduated in Law from the Oporto University Law School, Master in Business Law from the Oporto Law School of the Portuguese Catholic University and LL.M in European Competition Law from the University of Amsterdam. Sofia also completed a specialization course in European and Competition Law at the Coimbra University Law School and a Post-Graduation in Regulation and Competition Law at the Institute for Economic, Financial and Tax Law of the Lisbon University Law School. Prior to joining Garrigues, worked in the legal departments of Nestlé Portugal, S.A. and GALP Energia, S.A., as well as in the EU and Competition department at SRS Legal. Has been a member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 2017.
