Jesús Barbadillo is counsel and head of Transport & Shipping in the Litigation and Arbitration Department. He has extensive experience in shipping, spanning over 30 years (as lawyer and arbitrator), in both the public and private angles of maritime law. He has an LLM in Maritime Law (European Institute of Maritime Studies) and a Degree in Law from Universidad de Cádiz. He has been singled out in Shipping by Chambers and Legal 500.

Academic background
- LLM in Maritime Law from the European Institute of Maritime Studies in Gijón.
- Law Degree, Universidad de Cádiz (Jerez).
Teaching activity
- Lecturer on the online Master’s Degree at the Spanish Maritime Institute (IME) of Universidad de Comillas (ICADE-ICAI) since 2006 (Madrid).
- Lecturer on the Master’s Degree in Business and Maritime Law at IME (Madrid) since 1998.
- Lecturer on the Master’s Degree in Business and Maritime Law at the Nautical Faculty of Barcelona (UPC Barcelona) since 1997.
- He was an associate lecturer in Maritime Law at Técnica Superior de Ingenieros Navales (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) from 2012 to 2015.
