The Spanish Ambassador in the People's Republic of China chairs the seminar of Garrigues China to analyze the new agreement on social security between China and Spain
Directors and representatives of the main Spanish companies with presence in the Chinese capital also attended the seminar organized by Garrigues Beijing Office.
Garrigues Beijing Office hosted on Wednesday, March 21st, a seminar to analyze the new bilateral agreement on social security with China, which came into force the day before the seminar.
The managing partner of Garrigues in China, Manuel Torres, was in charge of leading the session in which the advantages that the Agreement will have for Spanish companies in China as well as for the displaced employees themselves were revealed. So far, the displaced employees were required to suffer a double contribution of social security, quoting both in Spain and in China.
The session brought together the directors and representatives of the main Spanish companies in Beijing as well as personalities such as His Excellency Mr. Alberto Carnero, Ambassador of Spain in the People's Republic of China and the Chief Economic and Commercial Minister of the Embassy of Spain in China, Mr. Sergio Pérez, who explained first-hand the negotiations carried out by the Administration for the formalization of the Agreement.
The seminar ended with a round of issues and questions raised by the attendants that was extended in time, showing that it is a topic of maximum relevance and interest for the Spanish companies with presence in China and employees displaced in that country.
