
Gabriela has over 14 years’ experience in advising national and multinational companies on labor and social security law. She is also an expert in conciliation and negotiation of matters that could entail significant economic detriment for clients.
She has worked at major national law firms and as a legal representative of a federal government institution. From 2021-2023 she was an active member of the Querétaro Branch of Barra Mexicana.
Experience
Gabriela Alfonso Álvarez is a senior associate in the Labor and Employment practice. Her experience includes providing opinions on labor matters, including the implementation of zero-tolerance policies on workplace discrimination and harassment, protocols to be observed in cases of workplace discrimination and violence, as well as the development of Codes of Ethics and Conduct and internal labor regulations. She was also in charge of the labor audit to ensure the proper documentation of employment relations. She provided training on Official Mexican Standard NOM-035 in 2020.
