Experience
Ignacio Corchuelo has been a partner in Garrigues’ Labor and Employment Law Department since 2009, and has spent almost his entire professional career in the firm.
He specializes across an array of practice areas: social security, negotiation of collective bargaining agreements, implementation of early retirement schemes, design and negotiation of collective measures aimed at encouraging internal flexibility at companies, implementation, design and transformation of employee welfare systems, and forensic practice resulting from all these areas.
His experience in the above areas takes in everything from formalizing collective bargaining agreements at a state level to coordinating legal proceedings involving claims nationwide, developing early retirement schemes in accordance with new regulations and providing advisory services in the field of labor and employment law on major corporate transactions.
Ignacio Corchuelo also specializes in the Labor and Employment Law Department in all aspects of employee welfare, designing and preparing pension plans in the employment system, group insurance policies and employee welfare plans, the negotiation processes involved in their transformation, and the complex and specific litigation resulting from this line of labor and employment law.
In this regard, he is the benchmark in relation to employee welfare plan-related labor and employment law aspects.
He is a lecturer on the Master’s Degree programs in Labor Law Counselling, Business Law, Human Resources and the Executive Master’s Degree in Labor Relations, teaching the subjects social security and employee welfare.
He is also a regular speaker at the most important specialized forums: FIDE, IFE, etc.
In 2013, Ignacio Corchuelo received the “International Client Choice Award” in London, as the finest labor law lawyer in Spain, which is awarded by the most representative companies in each country.
