Marta Graça Rodrigues is a partner in the Corporate Department of Garrigues, where she practices in the areas of corporate, M&A, capital markets, corporate governance, private equity, financial regulation and commercial contracts. She has extensive experience in all types of corporate transactions, including transactions involving regulated entities, as well as in providing recurring advice to companies, including listed companies.
Degree in Law from Universidade Católica Portuguesa. Post-graduate degree in Securities Market from the Law School of the University of Lisbon.
She has been consistently recognised by Chambers & Partners, Legal 500, IFLR1000 and Best Lawyers in her areas of practice.

With an extensive experience in M&A and corporate transactions and also in capital markets and corporate governance she has been consistently involved in some of the largest and more complex, sophisticated and innovative M&A, corporate finance and capital markets cross-border transactions executed in the Portuguese market in the recent years. In particular, she has provided advice in some prominent transactions including large M&A transactions, for industrial clients and private equity clients, IPO’s, takeover bids, public offerings and privatizations.
Marta advises clients regularly on all legal issues relating to corporate and securities laws and in the setting up and distribution of collective investment undertakings, venture capital and real estate funds
She provides continuous assistance for some of the largest listed companies in Portugal in the telecommunications, media, IP/IT and banking areas, notably representing such companies before the Portuguese Securities Commission and the Euronext.
Marta also has extensive experience in the area of financial regulation, having advised foreign and domestic financial institutions in several matters of strategic importance, including the setting up, development and reorganization of businesses in Portugal and abroad (including the assistance in cross-border mergers of banks and other regulated entities), and in providing general regulatory advice.
