Mauricio Maggiora Romero is a Principal Associate in Garrigues' labor and employment law practice.
As an employment lawyer, he has extensive experience in providing comprehensive advice to companies on both employment and social security law and human resources and immigration law; issuing reports on all employment matters; individual negotiation in dismissal proceedings, claims for payment, etc.; active participation in collective bargaining, employment regulation processes and company agreements, negotiation of strike situations and due diligence of companies with more than 500 employees, having participated in major transactions during his professional career. He also has extensive experience in labour litigation.
Mauricio holds a Law Degree from the University of Murcia, a Master's Degree in Labour and Social Security Law from the University of Valencia, and an Executive Master's Degree in Business Law from Garrigues Studies Center.
Experience
Mauricio Maggiora is a Senior Associate in the Employment Law Department at Garrigues, which he joined in 2009.
As part of his work at Garrigues, he has had the opportunity to participate in highly complex labour proceedings, including:
- Highly complex labour litigation, at both individual and collective level.
- Highly complex collective dismissals due to the number of people affected and the circumstances involved.
- Temporary employment regulation procedures.
- Negotiation in the context of strike calls.
- Procedures for non-application of agreements, substantial modifications of working conditions and collective transfers.
- Negotiation of sectoral and company collective agreements, as well as other types of collective agreements.
- Procedures for the expatriation and impatriation of workers both within the EU and outside the European Union.
- Drafting of all types of company protocols: maps of responsibility in preventive matters, protocols for the use of telematic media, teleworking, digital disconnection, ethical codes, etc.
In addition to this advice on strategic operations, he also provides recurring employment advice to both Spanish and foreign clients.
He is part of various multidisciplinary teams specialising in matters such as: Litigation, challenging Public Administration Acts in labour matters, as well as Expatriation and impatriation of workers.
Finally, he has provided employment advice on Sports Law to the most important sports entities in the Region of Murcia.
He has been a Tutor-Collaborator of some of the Practicum at the Faculty of Law of the University of Murcia since 2012.
