
Tania specializes in the analysis and preparation of different types of contracts relating to the energy sector (electricity, and oil and gas), and in providing legal advice to Mexican and international clients on the implementation of the regulatory framework of the Mexican energy industry and on the development and implementation of upstream, midstream and downstream projects, as well as on conventional and renewable energy.
In light of her experience and academic background in the energy sector, Tania has up-to-date knowledge of the regulation of the entire energy value chain in Mexico, enabling her to advise clients in a timely manner on the impact of such regulation on their current or future projects.
Experience
Tania is a senior associate in the Energy practice.
She has over 10 years’ experience providing assistance and advice in the preparation of model energy supply and electricity coverage contracts, the preparation of memos in relation to activities across the entire value chain of refined oil products in Mexico, and the preparation of regulatory due diligence on energy matters in transactions for the sale and purchase of assets and shares.
She has also supplied regulatory advice, participated in contractual negotiations and provided legal assistance in the entire process for migration to the wholesale electricity market.
Additionally, she has experience in the negotiation of contracts for the sale of electricity from an end user to a third party.
Tania is a native Spanish speaker and is fluent in English.
