Form to communicate work accidents
It was published in the official gazette the Decree-law no. 14/2018, of 11 January, approving the new form to communicate work accidents to the insurance company.
The use of this new form is mandatory to:

Employers, including public employers that have transferred their responsibility on work accidents to insurance companies;

Independent workers;

Domestic workers;
The work accident is communicated with this new form, using electronic means, namely digital support or e-mail. Companies with up to 9 employees, as well as independent and domestic workers may continue to communicate work accidents in paper.
The work accident shall be communicated in twenty four hours, regarding the time that the accident occurred.
The ordinance has its effects reported as of November 27, 2017.
