Minimum monthly wage and new withholding tax rates approved to 2022

The Government approved, through Decree-Law 109-B/2021, the increase of the guaranteed minimum monthly wage (“RMMG”) from EUR 665 to EUR 705, to become effective from 1 January 2022 onwards.
The update of the RMMG lead to the necessary adjustment of corresponding IRS withholding tax lists for 2022, applicable to employment income (category A) and pensions (category H), obtained by resident taxpayers in Mainland, which were approved by Order no. 11943-A/2021, from the Secretary of State for Tax Affairs.
The referred Order entered into force on 3 December of 2021.
