Spain's working calendar for 2025 published in the Official State Gazette

The calendar includes eight national holidays, in addition to those of the different autonomous communities.

The Official State Gazette has published the Resolution of 15 October 2024, of the Directorate General of Labour, which publishes the list of public holidays for the year 2025, which includes the public holidays scheduled for next year.

The following public holidays will be common holidays throughout Spain and will be paid and non-recoverable:

  • Wednesday 1 January (New Year's Day)
  • Friday 18 April (Good Friday)
  • Thursday 1 May (Labour Day)
  • Friday, 15 August (Feast of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary)
  • Saturday 1 November (All Saints' Day)
  • Saturday 6 December (Spanish Constitution Day)
  • Monday, December 8 (Immaculate Conception Day)
  • Thursday 25 December (Christmas Day)

In addition to these national public holidays, the autonomous communities set other public holidays, which are listed in the calendar annexed to the resolution (including 6 January, which has been established by all the autonomous communities).

In addition to these public holidays, local public holidays will be set by the local councils.
